A second day in the Louvre. This time the Richelieu Wing. A room full of Rubens' to compare with a room full of Poussin's. Then a tour of the Northern European paintings and the History of French painting. Tonight we took a small group of interested students on an excursion to Montmartre and the Sacre Cour Cathedral. Lots of young people gather on the steps and we were treated to a futball freestyler who was amazingly talented at "juggling" a soccer ball to a drum line beat laid down by his group. Tomorrow it's off to Musee d'Orsay, art from 1848-1905, location of an incredible impressionist and post-impressionist collection. Having some trouble with the internet connection so we'll see if this posts.
